This night we did the latter with another couple. Had been to Bistro 44 for lunch and it was good so thought before going to see Wicked would try it for dinner. As a culinary professional, I like to try everything new in town and find the good spots to recommend… So, naturally, when I found out about Five Palms, I was stoked. For dinner I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the grouper.
My date ordered a medium steak and it came out bloody and cold to the touch on the inside. It was great so we made reservations for the next night. We will be returning on another evening to sample the menu because the menu did look tempting. We accompanied them with refreshing Margaritas prepared to perfection. There was no wine list, but there was a pick your own wine room. There are other steak places in the area to choose from.

These are the two things that will draw us back, however, it will be for appetizers and desserts and not for special occasions as we had hoped.
The staff, although nice, was too casual, nor was their anything special about the service. While walking up to the patio, there was a large Bed Bath and Beyond box propped against the walkway which made it appear as though the restaurant was still getting set up. The caprese consisted of unripened tomato slices, the worst excuse for cheese dry and no taste , a few tiny bits of basil and the most horrible balsamic vinegar thick and really sweet.
