We push to lift more, do more, and live more. It is set up for wheelchair athletes as well, and there are strength and conditioning programs there specifically for disabled athletes. Everyone knows each other, so the atmosphere is very friendly yet challenging. Our machines our super smooth and are exceedingly well maintained to provide you with non-stop availability. As the owner of the gym I can honestly say all I want is for people to come see our gym, have a good training session, and tell others. It was also great to see so many ladies lifting in this competition and taking up a whole session of their own. Semi Private coaching— which is customized training for each individual. We offer daily drop in rates, as well as monthly packages. A front room full of weight machines, a second room with around 8-10 platforms and power racks with dumbells from 5-150, and then a final room with turf, more platforms, strongman equipment…. Be it Olympic Lifting, Power Lifting, Strongman, Highland Games etc.

It is good to see coach. We are a Olympic weightlifting team but we are also friendly with power-lifters, strongman or anybody that likes to lift heavy ass weight. We are a Crossfit gym and home of the Garage Games. We just started a powerlifting and weightlifting team also; Team Forward. We are partnered with Travis Mash for our weightlifting program. Both these places were fine for me to train at and they were close to where I was staying, but if you are willing to travel I'm sure you can find the real deal in terms of proper weightlifting, coaching, equipment etc. Make sure to come along and give these lifters all the support they deserve as they seek reward for all of their hard training! Please keep general strength training, powerlifting, and other strength sports in their respective subreddits. I like it because we get to lift heavy, chalk up and do work. If you want to go to a gym where you go to classes one of the other guys here had a good suggestion South East Strength. Olympic weightlifting trains the athlete for functional strength, utilizing the body's major muscle groups. The downside is it's a bit of a meathead gym so that culture leaves much to be desired. This is the place to workout at. Make sure to donate and show your support for such a good cause. There are approximately 50 athletes that currently train at Hawthorn, ranging from beginners to the top athletes in the country. In the main gym, there is also a reverse hyper, half rack, and dumbbells up to 100lbs, but no oly-lifting equipment. You either have a gigantic amout of weight above your head or you don't. We are primarily an olympic lifting, power lifting and gymnastics facility. We are also unique in the fact that we are one of few gyms that have an open invite to try one of our power teams. As I said, it's a big-ass country and metro sprawl is often underestimated by foreigners. The championships are 4-9 September, a test event for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
